About Jeff Mahoney, CFP®, RICP®
Hi, I’m Jeff Mahoney — Founder of inFORM Financial Planning, a fiduciary, fee-based firm based in Lakeville, Minnesota. I work with professionals and small business owners who are approaching retirement and want to turn years of saving into a clear, confident income plan. Most of my clients are in their 50s and 60s — high earners who’ve done a good job saving but aren’t sure how to bring all the financial pieces together. They want to retire on their own terms, minimize taxes, and make smart, informed decisions about when and how to draw income.
That’s where I come in. I help clients create personalized strategies for:
Tax-efficient retirement income planning
Social Security and pension optimization
Long-term care and healthcare planning
Estate and legacy coordination
Business retirement plan design
My goal is simple: to make your financial life organized, intentional, and aligned with what matters most — so you can stop wondering if you’re doing the right things and start enjoying the next chapter of life with confidence.
On a personal note, I live in Lakeville with my wife, Jen and our two kids, Fallon and Duke. Outside of work, you’ll usually find me coaching or cheering them on at their activities, golfing, or spending time outdoors — especially in the fall, my favorite season.

About inFORM Financial Planning
At inFORM Financial Planning, I specialize in helping individuals and couples approaching retirement gain clarity and confidence about their next chapter. Many of my clients are in their peak earning years—45 to 65 years old—and are beginning to shift their focus from building wealth to figuring out how to use it. They’re asking important questions like:
“When can I afford to retire?”
“How do I turn my savings into a reliable income stream?”
“Am I doing this in the most tax-efficient way possible?”
That transition—from accumulation to distribution—is one of the most overlooked and complex phases of financial planning. My role is to help clients make sense of it all. I build integrated retirement income plans that align investments, taxes, Social Security, and healthcare decisions into one cohesive strategy—so they can retire with intention and peace of mind.
I also work with business owners who are looking to grow and protect their personal wealth outside of the operations of their company. Whether it’s reducing taxes, structuring employee retirement plans, or planning an eventual exit, I act as a strategic partner to help ensure their business success supports their personal financial goals.
At the heart of it all, I help people make informed financial decisions—so they can spend more time doing what they love, with the people they care about most.

We Want Your Voice to be Heard
Wealthtender exists to help people discover trusted and authentic financial professionals and educators who may be a good fit based on their unique needs and circumstances.
Your honest reviews help people decide which financial professionals and educators may be best suited to their individual needs.
The majority of people trust reviews as much as personal recommendations, so what you write in your review should reflect your own opinion and experience.
Tips for Writing a Helpful Review
Be descriptive. Instead of just saying what you like or dislike, share why. What have you enjoyed most or least about your experience with the provider? Have they helped you overcome a difficult financial challenge or strengthened your knowledge about particular money matters? The more details, the better!
Be honest. Your rating and review should reflect your actual experience.
Stay relevant. Ensure your review is helpful to others by avoiding off-topic discussions or personal opinions not relevant to your direct experience.
Make your review easy to read. Reviews should be readable to others. Use proper grammar, avoid excessive capitalization or punctuation, and be sure to check your spelling.
Be yourself. Don’t post as, or pretend to be, someone else, and do not say you’re associated with a person or organization with which you are not.
Be nice. Don’t write abusive, hateful, threatening, or harassing content. Avoid personal threats, hate speech, obscenities, or inflammatory language.
Respect the privacy of others. Don’t post information that can be used to identify another individual or compromise their privacy.
Report abuse. Thank you for helping us ensure reviews on Wealthtender are helpful to everyone. If you suspect possible violations of our guidelines or believe a review is inappropriate, please email [email protected] with a link to the provider’s profile, indicating the review in question and the reason you believe it violates our guidelines.
